Favorite Moments
It's a blessing to be on the air in Myrtle Beach, to be a part of this community. I love talking with you each and every day. You make my job easy, fun and memorable, and I've really got too many favorite moments to list them all. Here are just a few though, all of which wouldn't have been possible without YOU!
- EASY Radio's 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway.
- I loved writing and singing the parody, and I really enjoyed chatting with all of our winners. A big thank you to Salt and Detox Oasis in Myrtle Beach, Just Ask Hal in Myrtle Beach, Zerorez of Myrtle Beach and Sam Snead's Oak Grill & Tavern for providing prizes. Congrats again to our lucky winners!
- Jack & Ripper, with the Grand Strand Humane Society, getting adopted!
- It's hard finding homes for all the pets in the shelters in our area, and beyond, and it's even harder if they're older or bonded. Luckily, Jack & Ripper, a bonded pair, found their FURRever homes this year. I know Jake & Simba, another bonded pair, with the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach, are still looking for their FURRever family. Please get in touch if interested. They are so sweet and cute! Don't forget to consider adopting if you are thinking of adding a furrbaby to your family.
- Our annual food drive supporting Meals on Wheels of Horry County!
- This is always a big event for us, and, each year, it grows. I'm always amazed by the turnout and the amount of food collected. Thank you again for helping make it such a success. This is the biggest, and the only, fundraiser for MOW of Horry County, and all that is donated goes towards feeding homebound individuals in our community, in Horry and Georgetown County, physically and spiritually!
- Food That Will Floor You!
- FTWFY is all about locals supporting locals. I've got to give Victoria, Karen and Lynn, with Grand Strand Floors & More, all the kudos for allowing me to be a part of this event. In addition to collecting new, or gently used, blankets for Warm Hearts Project, they allowed area food trucks to park in their lot! So people could come out and enjoy tasty food, while giving back and getting any flooring questions answered. I've learned it's continuing into the new year as well. Yay!
- Woman To Woman podcast with Badd Kitty.
- Women's health, including sexual health, is very important to me. I'm so glad I'm able to talk with Melissa Drake, of Badd Kitty, once a month on this topic and so much more! Thank you for listening and participating too. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Please feel free to drop us any questions you may have for future episodes. It's a judge-free zone!
